# Introduction

`NAK` is a command introduced with [MSNP2](../versions/msnp2.md).
|
||
|

||
|
It is a Switchboard Server command, without a response payload.
|
||
|
|
||
|
Used as a negative response to [MSG](msg.md) N.
|
||
|
|
||
|
