# plugin disable Disable a plugin ### Options | Name | Type | Default | Description | |:----------------|:-------|:--------|:--------------------------------------| | `-f`, `--force` | `bool` | | Force the disable of an active plugin | ## Description Disables a plugin. The plugin must be installed before it can be disabled, see [`docker plugin install`](plugin_install.md).
