# load Load an image from a tar archive or STDIN ### Aliases `docker image load`, `docker load` ### Options | Name | Type | Default | Description | |:------------------------------------|:---------|:--------|:---------------------------------------------| | [`-i`](#input), [`--input`](#input) | `string` | | Read from tar archive file, instead of STDIN | | `-q`, `--quiet` | | | Suppress the load output | ## Description Load an image or repository from a tar archive (even if compressed with gzip, bzip2, xz or zstd) from a file or STDIN.
